    Having discovered, from very early on, an affinity for seeking depth in an idea, detail in the bigger picture, and what more there is beyond what meets the eye, Lake of Illusions was founded in the spirit of exploration, discovery, and creation. Its mission is to share the reality of what coffee is and what coffee can be. It is a vehicle that we can use to travel and experience, through origin flavors, the countries, the farms, and the climates where the most amazing coffees in the world are being grown.

    We endeavor to highlight the intrinsic flavors made available by the terroir, its attendants, the processing methods and the individual varietals so that the cup before you becomes an expression of the innumerable phenomena required to bring it into existence. Our journey now crosses paths with yours and it is our pleasure to accompany you as we explore the depths within the Lake of Illusions. -JC
